Lorenzi, Dodds & Gunnill, Inc. has provided high-quality engineering, planning, and surveying services to Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland since 1953.
Located in Waldorf, Maryland, our staff is composed of veteran professionals and younger, talented designers with innovative ideas. We are small enough that our clients get direct, continuous service from the principals while also receiving the benefits of our multi-disciplinary capabilities.
We have in-house capabilities in civil engineering, land planning, landscape architecture, forestry and environmental science, and land surveying. Our staff has extensive technical expertise, code familiarity, design experience, and community relations experience. Also, having integral site engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying capabilities enables us to provide coordinated site development services.

Lorenzi, Dodds & Gunnill, Inc. was founded in Pittsburgh in 1953 by Silvio J. Lorenzi, a registered professional engineer and surveyor, with the goal of providing complete professional services in the field of civil engineering. Since its founding, the firm has served commercial and institutional clients, federal and state governments, county administrations, towns and municipalities, as well as private landowners.
Over the years, we have maintained strong professional engineering capabilities and broadened our services to include landscape architecture and environmental sciences. Our engineers, planners, and surveyors are equipped with the latest fully integrated systems for computer-aided design.
